List of Adjustments
The
following is a chart that shows par levels for different race types
on the circuit. We use the class level from the chart for establishing
an expected race par for each race. The levels shown are for older
males only. Adjustments are made for female
races, races restricted to Cal-bred horses, and races restricted to
horses of a younger age (2 year olds only or 3 year olds only). Some
fields are filled with horses that are far below par and the par for
these races is often lowered by one to two levels to better reflect
the quality of the competition.
